Presenting the Green Mountain Major Arcana & its Journey

The Tarot’s Major Arcana represents the storytelling of initiations, spiritual lessons, karmic influences, and the big archetypal themes that influence the soul's journey to enlightenment. The Fool starts as the main character of the Major Arcana, following his journey through each of the cards, meeting new teachers and learning new life lessons along the way. He eventually reaches the climax of the hero’s journey with the World card.

With a deep love and appreciation for the major arcana and its divine esoteric mysteries, I felt inspired to create my depiction of its storytelling journey. As a professional reader, I’ve seen the cards come to life in so many unique ways and flavors that I’m hoping this take on the cards can inspire new insights and ways to understand their stories for those who use them. I intentionally chose each model and outdoor landscape to embody each of the archetypal energies and bring them to life.

Like any good story worth telling, the creation of this major arcana series was filled with personal highs and lows as each card pulled me into its unique spiritual life lesson along the way. I ran into instances of the initial vision and model selected for the card needing to change, forcing me to go with the flow and see where it went organically. This project began in the spring of 2023, months after the birth of my son River, who instilled in me a new creative burst that put this whole project into motion. The last photo was taken, and the series was completed in December 2024. 

With each card shared, I invite you to dive into your senses and see what pops out at you. You may find some cards that visually speak volumes to your intuition, while others arouse your senses of feeling, hearing, or smell. Ultimately, try your best to put yourself into the card and see where it leads you! After all, a curious mind and a playful attitude can take your intuition far.
